Different Types of Mattresses

The temptation is to say that a mattress is a mattress. You sleep on it. It’s a flat surface. Hopefully you’re comfortable. If you’re not, well, then too bad for you.

But that’s not even a little true. The truth of the matter is that there are many different kinds of mattresses.

Believe it or not, though, we’re not going to count the adjustable bed as one of the types available. This is because the adjustable is a type of bed, not a mattress per se. Obviously it does require a certain kind of mattress to be flexible so it can work, but it’s the bed itself that necessitates that.

It’s just a philosophical thing. They’re still awesome, though.

You have your traditional box spring mattress, which is something you can find just about anywhere. This has been suitable for ages, and if you don’t have any back problems or any difficulty sleeping, this would probably suit you just fine.

On the other hand, there are other types of mattresses that we sell too. Generally, they’re suitable for people who have difficulty sleeping on a traditional mattress. But good health is no reason to miss out on a better night’s sleep.

You could be looking at one of our memory foam mattresses, which gives you better support and is comparable to a Tempur-Pedic mattress. Or you could go with one of our digital air mattresses, which compares to the sleep number bed you see in the stores.

In other words, there are different types of mattresses, for different sleepers and for different needs.
